STALKER cable and pipe locators provide quick and precise search of power cables and pipelines, insulation faults tracing and depth measurement with subsequent mapping.

PT-24 LOCATOR

Key features:

• Tracing of insulation faults in cables and pipelines both with and without transmitter picking up power line frequency signals (50 Hz,60 Hz) or signals of cathodic protection (CP “100 Hz” or “300 Hz”);
• Continuous indication of target utility depth and current;
• Three location modes: sharp peak, broad peak and null;
• Indication of current direction (from transmitter / to transmitter) allows avoiding tracing of non-target utility;
• Simultaneous indication of two utilities:
• the first arrow indicates the target utility with applied signal from transmitter;
• the second line indicates an energized power cable or pipeline under cathodic protection;

• Simultaneous indication of utility depth and current
• Three tracing modes: sharp peak, broad peak and null;
• Indication of current direction (from transmitter / to transmitter) allows avoiding tracing of non-target utility;
• Passive frequencies facilitate locating without Transmitter;
• On the «50 Hz» and «550 Hz» frequencies the Locator locates cables by detection Power signals naturally occurred on the utilities;

GT-15 TRANSMITTER

Features:

• Light-weight and compact design;
• Power up to 10 W;
• Indication of voltage and output current to evaluate quality of connection to the target line;
• Built-in inductor induces signal of 33 kHz to the target line when direct connection is impossible;
• Two operation modes, continuous and pulse induction, facilitate high selectivity in case of weak signal, and save batteries charge;
• Non-contact application of searching signal of 1 kHz to 9 kHz to the target line using the KI-50 clamps.

Locating areas of damaged insulation

MODE «TRACE-SENSOR» 

1. SENSOR bar graph is used to locate areas of faulty insulation; 2. Inversion of the test signal polarity on the Locator display gives evidence of the insulation damage. This is also confirmed with changed signal on the SENSOR scale  3. Insulation control sensors as A-frame, DKI-E, DKI-02 facilitate insulation faults tracing in the different soils.

GT-75 TRANSMITTER

Key features:

• Power up to 75 W;
• Sine-shaped output signal eliminates interferences induced to the equipment;
• Indication of voltage and output current to evaluate quality of connection to the target line;
• Automatic load matching;
• Power supply is either from built-in rechargeable batteries or from external power source of 12 V or 220 V.

Magnet can be attached to metallic pipes and provides convenient connection between  GT-75 Transmitter and pipeline. 

The Cable and Pipe Locating Complex STALKER 75-14 consists of the GT-75 Transmitter and PT-14 Locator. 

Data storage

You may store the following parameters in the Locator memory:

• Strength of signals from magnetic antennas and at the SENSOR input;
• Direction to utility;
• Depth and current readout;
• Direction of tracing current;
• Relative polarity of electric potential at the SENSOR input;
• Signal phases at the TRACE input;
• Operating frequencies;
• Local time and date at the moment of readings through GPS;
• Target point coordinates obtained through the GPS.

Stalker Terminal

Optional accessories:

Insulation control non-contact sensor DKI-E This sensor is used for quick location of insulation faults when the utility is under asphalted area or buries in frozen soil. Two operators are required.
“A-frame” sensor Allows quick and precise detection of insulation faults.
Insulation control contact sensor DKI-02  This sensor is used for insulation fault tracing.
Mini-sensor MD-01 This is intended for detection of target cable (core) in a bundle and locating of cable damages.
Power supply unit 220/12-100 W This is used for connection of transmitter to the 220 mains and charging of built-in rechargeable batteries. Maximum output power is 75 W.
Magnet Allows connecting the GT-15 and GT-75 Transmitters to target pipeline.
Clamp KI-50  Clamp is intended for application of searching signal from transmitter into target utility, including cables under load.
Clamp KI-100 Clamp is used for non-contact application of search signal into target energized or de-energized utility when galvanic connection is impossible.
